Frequently asked questions

What is Live Verdon?

Live Verdon, also written LiveVerdon, is an independent guide to the Verdon and its 65 communes. This page brings together what changes from hour to hour: current alerts, the weather and the webcams.

Is there a webcam in the Verdon Gorge?

Not inside the canyon, to our knowledge: as of 9 October 2026, we had found no camera between Castellane and Lake Sainte-Croix. The closest are the Castellane webcam, on the Verdon upstream of the gorge, and the Aiguines panorama, at the entrance to the gorge on the Lake Sainte-Croix side.

What is the weather like in the Verdon right now?

The weather right now is given above for five communes, from Allos to Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon, with the coming days. Each commune’s page gives its own.

Is the Verdon open today?

The Verdon has no opening hours. It is trails, roads and swimming areas that can be closed or restricted, by official order or for the season. Current alerts are listed on this page, under “Before you set off”, with the time of their latest measurement.
