One bridge, one operator, one dizzying drop

Unlike the Verdon’s other activities, bungee jumping at the Pont de l’Artuby comes down to a single place and a single operator. No multitude of providers to compare, but a precise site, supervised for decades. Its height, however, depends on the source: 182 m according to the operator, about 137 m according to IGN elevation data. We show both rather than pick one.

The site

The Pont de l’Artuby

D71 · between Trigance and Aiguines (Var)

A single-arch reinforced-concrete road bridge, built between 1937 and 1940 according to the Ministry of Culture’s Mérimée database, to plans by the Pelnard-Considère et Caquot design office, spanning the Artuby gorges at the southern gateway to the Grand Canyon of the Verdon. Its height varies with the source: 182 m according to Latitude Challenge, which does not specify what this figure measures; about 137 m between the deck (at around 734 m above sea level) and the bed of the Artuby (at around 597 m) according to IGN elevation data. The Wikipedia article and the Lacs et Gorges du Verdon tourist office cite both figures, 182 m and 138 m.

Good to know before jumping
  • The jump depends on the weather: in bad weather, it is postponed to a new date rather than cancelled with no solution.
  • No tandem jumps are offered: each participant jumps alone.
  • Don’t jump on an empty stomach and bring water: the day is long, between reception, waiting and the climb back up.
  • The climb back up is on foot, along a sporty, little-developed path, in about 30 to 45 minutes after the jump.
  • Cancellation insurance (10% extra) lets you request a refund of the booking — without it, according to the operator, a missed jump is lost and non-refundable.

When to come & how to prepare

Jumps take place at weekends, over a season that runs broadly from April to November according to the local tourist offices. At the end of the 2026 season, the operator announces Sundays only from October, until 15 November. The bridge is on the D71, between Trigance and Aiguines, not far from Comps-sur-Artuby — the southern gateway to the Grand Canyon of the Verdon. The sources do not give the same figure. The operator Latitude Challenge announces a height of 182 m, without specifying what this figure measures, and presents the Artuby as “the highest bridge in Europe dedicated to bungee jumping” — a claim we do not repeat, since the operator of the Europabrücke bungee jump in Austria, for example, announces 192 m. According to IGN elevation data, the deck (at around 734 m) stands about 137 m above the bed of the Artuby (at around 597 m). The bridge, built between 1937 and 1940, spans the Artuby gorges on the D71.

Jumps take place only at weekends, over a season that runs broadly from April to November according to the local tourist offices. For the end of the 2026 season, the operator announces jumps on Sundays only from October, with a last date on 15 November (website consulted on 4 October 2026). Reception is on the bridge between 10am and 12pm on Saturday and between 9am and 12pm on Sunday, according to the operator (website re-read on 10 October 2026): have the time confirmed when you book. Can you jump in tandem, or with reduced mobility?

No, Latitude Challenge does not offer tandem jumps: each participant jumps alone. For people with a motor disability, the operator states that jumping is not ruled out, provided they have good use of their arms. Bear in mind, however, that the climb back up after the jump is on foot, along a “very sporty and little-developed” path, in about 30 to 45 minutes: check directly with the operator how it can be managed in your case.
